The Bristol Brawl is back and this year we’ve got something a little bit special for you a 1,200pts tournament with a difference!

A Warhammer Fantasy Battle tournament taking place in the village of Iron Acton near Bristol on the 5th-6th June 2010. Places are limited for the weekend and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
The tournament will consist of 5(10) games of Warhammer Fantasy Battle over two days. Each game consists of two halves. First half, the players swap armies. You play a game with the army your opponent has brought to the table. Second half, you go to the other side of the table and play another game, this time with your own army. You add up the results of the two games, each game you will score from 0 to 20TPs.

The idea behind this system is to level the playing field and find the best general regardless of army selection. All players will be required to submit their lists in advance for checking due to the nature of the tournament no comp will be in place or needed as if you cheese up your army you'll just end up getting smashed with it every game, however as a catch all we do reserve the right to 'Timmy Comp' any list we find particularly excessive or condusive to unfun games. We would hope the unusual format will encourage gamers to eschew the cookie cutter builds and try to bring armies that require some skill and finesse to use to hopefully out fox their opponents with their superior generalship skills.

As usual there will be prizes available to the best sportsmen, best armies and overall winners. Please also note the change of date to June.

If you have any questions please post em here or pm me.

Edit: We're now full but I'll take names for reserves if anyone is still interested.

This sounds like a LOT of fun, I just hope it falls after my June exams so that I can come on down to join in!

Cheers,

Trim

edit: P.S. The entry form doesn't appear to be working.

This sound slike a great idea for a tournament. Are chaos dwarves able to be used? Using ravening hordes rules or some other?

To answer a few good questions the Ben's raised on their podcast:

• We have space for 46 gamers at a push so I will close entries and take a couple of names as reserves when we reach this number.

• Food isn't included but we do have a snack bar available with crisps, chocolate bars, tea, coffee, coke etc for 30p an item. There is also a couple of local pubs round the corner 'The Lamb' that serves good pub grub at lunchtime and in the evening and an Indian/pub as well 'The White Hart'.

• The lists deadline of a month is a bit of a hang over from having to judge lists in previous brawls, on reflection this is a bit long so I'll edit the rulespack and change that to two weeks before the event.

If anyone has got any other questions please feel free to ask.
