AH! Frakking great work all over the place. Love the color scheme, the green hair (does the standard really have hair on there? or did you add it? cause it's particularly excellent), the different generations of demonettes, the en-boobed soulgrinder (nice catch on the single chest plate requiring boobening), the great bases and the FW keeper.

Thanks for sharing :D

These are ace, I really, really like these.

Are the Nette claws mettalic? They look cool. Everything works in this army, colour scheme, bases, conversions and the general look of it all.

Me likely!

I looks fantastic. Somehow I think the boob on the soulgrinder is overkill though :D

They are extremely impressive. I especially like those bases.

awesome work, Sir. The bases are the thing too. they just make the minis jump from a great paint job to something above. Really competition quality based the way they are. Keep it up, you're giving me great notions for my Everblight force,( although Lord help me I'll be happy if they look half as good).

I love it. Very androgynous, just the way Slaanesh should be.

Thanks for all the positive comments people :D

The claws on the daemonettes are indeed metallic. There are various washes of purple, red and blue that take the edge of a little, but the base coat is mithril silver.

The pics were taken with an XLR camera using the macro setting. No lighting apart from the bulb in the ceiling. The background is just white paper with a pink gradient printed on it. I then just adjusted the pics using the automatic correction on Microsoft photo editor.

Very nice indeed, a quick question tho. Where did you get the daemonete wings?

The wings are cicada wings - real ones! I got them from ebay.

Just spotted this question. The hair is already on the standard so I can't take credit for that. I went for luminous green and pinky/white as they are pretty much complementary colours. I was also trying to create a semi-ethereal effect - the daemons appearing from the warp type theme.

Good use of the Dark Eldar. IMO it is a really underrated range of figs.

The boob, ah yes, many a hour spent slaving late into the night

It's just greenstuff. A big blob stuck on and lovingly sculpted. I then put a small pancake shape to make the areola on the tip. The hardest bit was the nipple itself and getting the ring to look right. It took several attempts but I eventually managed it by rolling a small sphere of greenstuff and putting a 3/4 loop of metal from an old chain to form the ring.

The secret to sculpting great boobs is lots of research. I would recommend some links but the moderators will probably have me removed.

Amazing. This is one of the best armies I have probably ever seen. Great colour scheme, beautifully executed, with fantastic basing.

That sculpted boob puts the one I did on my giant to shame..I guess you mustve done more online "research" than me :P

The winged Daemonettes are brilliant, just how fragile are those cicada wings? Always nice to see a painted FW Keeper.

Thanks people.

Yes, this army was at Devourer. I used it in its fantasy form for that particular tournament.

The Cicada wings are very delicate. In fact that particular unit is in bits at the moment. An idiot drove into the back of me on a round about a couple of months ago throwing my figure case against the wind screen.

Most of the minis were fine but the Furies, especially the wings, were smashed. This is because they have to go in a metal box rather than being surrounded by the usual foam. I have magnets on their bases so they stick to the floor of the case without touching each other or any walls. Sadly this system simply wasn't up to the sudden impact, although usually it is fine for everyday bumps.

I have to repair them at some point but it took an age to put the four or five coats of glass paint on the wings. It's a job I am not looking forward to. I like the effect of the cicada wings but be warned, it is not very practical!
