As promised, two further events for this year have been secured.

First up on the weekend of June 16th and 17th at Triple Helix Wargames we have a campaign set once more in North Africa, with the fighting around El Alamein. The exact timing/setting (historically) of the campaign will depend on the result of the Gazala campaign weekend. Unfortuantely, the date will not suit everyone but this date got as many votes as the bulk on my poll at the end of 2011 and crucially this one was available.

Next up on the weekend of the October 27th and 28th at Triple Helix Wargames we're off to Russia to see if the Axis forces can eliminate the Kursk salient or Bulge if you prefer. Once again a campaign firmly based on historical events, this one will give the protagonists the opportunity to engage in some huge, fast moving tank battles. The purists will point out the small matter of almost three million men taking part in the action too and several carefully selected battles will feature.

The website will be updated to reflect the new events very soon but names can be taken immediately. Note that to show my continuined appreciation for regular Fear Naught attendees, you guys will get first dibs for the available places.

Both interesting sounding events but the first is the same weekend as Roll Call and the second is the same weekend as the Flames of War Pairs in Witney. If they were on different weekends I might be able to make it, as it stands there is no chance at all that I can be at either.

Ditto. Very sad I can't make the El Alamein weekend, but I can do the Kursk weekend. Please put me down for Kursk. Paul Nettle

While we're at THW this weekend, perhaps we can have a chat with Steve and Charlotte and the assembled players to see if there is a more agreeable date that 16/17th of June.

I've got clearance for Kursk, but unfortunately it's my daughters photographic exhibition on the El Alemain weekend and I'll be visiting that.

Alex, is that just for El Alamein???

I'm presuming Kursk is still the October date before I look at booking any accommodation

The date that may change is the El Alamein event. The Kursk date is set.

Many thanks for the amazing response to the Kursk campaign event and I can now confirm apart from one or two stragglers that the event is full.
There is at present a short reserve list and if you find your name on it, it means that you will be first in line to be offered a place should anyone drop out. For the record in previous events I usually have 4 or 5 having to withdraw for various reasons so please don't give up. I'm also in conversation with Triple Helix Wargames to see if they can possibly fit in another doubles table.

Anyhow, here's the list of attendees:
McGonigle, Brian
Bowman, Steve
Brownlow, Chris
Carr, Alex
Carr, Chris
Cavanagh, Colin
Davey, Ben
Entwistle, Peter
Graham, Alan
Green, David
Hall, Tom
Harstshorne, Paul

After taking the responses into account it seems my first dates are the ones are the most popular so the date is June 16th and 17th for the El Alamein.

I'm sincerely sorry that this will not suit some of the regulars but there will of course be more events.
