Is Red Fury Necrosphinx cheesy

Postby SquirrelMaster » Wed Sep 07, 2016 7:09 pm

I know the forum's on it's way out, just figured I'd ask here in case anyone's around:

If I field a "Death" army, nominate a Necrosphinx as my general, and give it the "Red Fury" trait, would you consider this:

1. Not even competitive
2. Fair
3. Cheesy horrible WAAC-ness
4. Actually cheating (is there a rule I've missed?)
5. Other (please specify).

Anyone?

Not got my Generals Handbook to hand, but I thought you could only have a 'leader' as your General?

That's a common assumption, but I can't find any actual rule to support it.

Of course, the Necrosphinx doesn't have a command ability, so I'd be stuck with inspiring presence.

There is nothing in the handbook that I've seen that puts any limitation on which unit can be a general, but it seems that you can only give the artifacts to models with the Hero keyword. So you would also be missing out on that.

Artifacts don't need to go on your general.

I put red fury on a ghoul king on terrorgheist but forgot to use it every turn. I think it really depends what you're up against.

It's been closed off from new members. Therefore slowly running out of users as no new people will trickle in at all to replace those who drop out of the hobby or at least the forums.
I do respect your opinions even when I do not state so, we are all free to disagree and agree here. And I certainly do not assume that my ideas about the rules would be the only proper ones. We all have our own ways for playing these games and that is fine.

From my experience, there's also been a massive decline in the number of posts (excepting spambots).
