Question answered?
Old Fogey could probably paint something a dog left on the lawn so well that it would make a beautiful centerpiece to any army.

It's a question probably better asked on the One Ring (although I think it's under maintenance at the moment) or one of the Facebook pages. The Great British Hobbit League is the most active and its welcoming for anyone to post on not just in the UK.

I will say that if you can get some models cheap on eBay the game is well worth giving a go. What rulebook is it you've picked up ? War of the Ring you'll really struggle to get games but Strategy Battle Game has a lot of active communities and because of the relatively low model count it's easy to introduce to friends.
