Team Octopii in collaboration with Tim 'The Legend' Martin presents: Fun, Quick & Dirty‏

Okay guys and gals, it’s time for a day of FQD (name courtesy of Jon ‘the hat’ Webb). This is a one day event using smaller lists with a few minor restrictions to keep every game fast paced and interesting:

Date: Sunday 10rd of October
List Submission date: Sunday 03rd of October – to - brotheroftheprat@hotmail.com
Payment Date: Sunday 26th of September (see bellow for method)
Venue: St Georges Social Club Kidderminster
Radford Avenue
Kidderminster, Worcestershire
Dy10 2es.
Cost: £10 (to pay via Paypal, remember to send the money as a ‘gift’ to avoid further charges) – to – brotheroftheprat@hotmail.com
Food: Included! Social club sells their own drinks too!

Army Composition:
Each player MUST bring 3x 20 point army lists. These three army lists will SHARE the field allowances of one army (so between the three lists you can only have 1 of each character model, you could have two man hunters/warwitch sirens because these are FA:2). In addition to this you cannot have both the epic & none epic versions of a model between your lists (so only Stryker OR Epic Stryker but not both). All three warcasters/warlocks must be chosen from the same faction.

TIER LISTS ARE NOT ALLOWED

Armies do not have to be fully painted. Although it is encouraged. To be elligable for the best painted army ALL of your 3 lists must be fully painted.

Event Rules:
There will be 5 games in this event. In the first three games of the event you must use each of your army lists once. After this you must choose one of your lists to discard leaving you with two. In the last two games you must use each of your remaining lists once.

At the start of each round you must show your REMAINING army lists to your opponent (so in round 2 for example, you will have two lists left to choose from because you have used one in round 1, these are the lists that you show). A randomly generated scenario from Steamroller 2010 will be declared for use in that round, Destruction will not be played. The ‘revised’ STR 2010 pack will be used with the exception that all scenario scoring starts on the SECOND player’s second turn and not the first player’s second turn. The Scenario will be declared at the start of the round so that you can choose lists afterwards. After primary and secondary objectives any games that do not have a win/loss result will be declared a draw. *NOTE* please do record your VPs scored (warcasters/warlocks are worth 5 points) because these will be used as another tie breaker, further more remember that when a warcaster/warlock is killed the warjacks/warbeasts in its battle group also count as killed.

Win/Draw/Loss will be scored as 10/1/0 with ‘Strength of Schedule’ being used as a tie breaker. However games one and two will not count towards SoS. VPs scored will be used after SoS.

Schedule of the day:
09:00 – 09:30 – Registration
09:30 – 10:30 – Game 1
10:45 – 11:45 – Game 2
12:00 – 13:00 – Game 3

14:00 – 15:00 – Game 4
15:15 – 16:15 – Game 5

Curses, you beat me to the punch - I was just about to advertise a WM/H event in Oxford on October 9th! Would anyone going to this event be interested in another relatively nearby the day before?

Anyway, regardless of that event, this one sounds like fun. Put me down (Chris Cawthorn), and I'll turn up with some silly lists.

Well, fun and dirty for sure. Quick... not so much, I like to make people suffer.

No, that sounds bad doesn't it

Love to come but alas it's my daughters first birthday and I can just guess at the reaction I'd get if I even asked - plus it would be difficult to play like I've got a pair in the future when one would be chopped off in the freezer!
