The Battle College, highly recommend you have a look at this, has a bit of info about every choice for every faction. Some of it is biased but it's all worth a look.

Official site of Privateer Press (the creators of the games)

Brushthralls, some excellent painting/hobby tutorials.

Army builder program

Armies of Immoren - FREE

Tabletop Commander - FREE

I prefer the 1st one but they are both good.

Army Builder 3 also have both Warmachine and Hordes and unlike these two it shows stats etc.

Counters and ref sheets.

Templates and Tokens - free downloads (as opposed to buying either the PP or GF9 ones)

Hordes reference sheet.

This and this are great for WM, and a bit useful for Hordes.

Essential listening is FELLCALLS by the Podthralls
Now at 148 episodes thats over 148 hrs of WM/Hordes podcasts. Well worth the listen.

E-Zine Behind the Lines.

Steamroller 2011 card sized scenarios courtesy of Sib .

I'll add to these as more become known/available. If you have any to add please post and I'll add to the list.

I too like Armies Of Immoren, although you'll need Java script enabled to run it.

The counters from the Shiny penny website are very good.
A tip if you want them smaller though (1" is perhaps too big), set the printer to print 2 pages per sheet and they come out half size.

Also if you are new to the game, go hunt out the episodes which detail what the game is about, also look out for the faction specific podcasts as well.

D6G did a good episode early doors on the big differences between PP and GW and also their games. Its well worth a listen to as well.

Finally if you are in to ezines then take a look at Behind the Lines - now on Issue 2 and looks like this is going to get better and better. Its an Ozzie based ezine but I think its pretty good.

I'd post it, but PDF's aren't enabled as attachements.

If Gorbad or Alex could alter that it'd make life nice and easy.

Heres a handy guide on how to spend your focus:

Image
"And now I see that planning doesn't matter. Strategy doesn't matter. Only two things matter: Force in as great a concentration as you can manage, and style. And in a pinch, style can slide. In any battle, there's always a level of force against which no tactics can succeed. You can have your finely-crafted watch--give me the sledgehammer any day!"

Search the market places on iphobe or Android for ibodger. It's made of win for making army lists and having them to hand on your phone. Also battle timer does what it says on the tin.

Does anyone know if LOS diag's like Scalpel posted for MkI above exist?

Would make intro games much easier if they do.

Armies Of Immoren is discontinued.

Try this one instead:

Safe to download, works a treat, and is updated very regular.

I've been using http://www.forwardkommander.com/ to get my first lists together (cant remember if it was recommended or random searching tbh) its another free army builder not sure if there are others out there that are more/less helpful but seems pretty decent and includes tier lists

EDIT: Noticed someone has actually recommended it above, just wondering if there is much difference between the free army builders as im pretty new to Hordes

The arcing fire graphic is hilarious, to me, because it includes the screening bonus!
