Warmachine in Warrington, UK area

Postby superduperkoopatrooper » Thu Jul 16, 2015 5:03 pm

Hello,

I'm tempted to give Warmachine a go but the biggest hurdle at the moment is finding people to practice with. Are there any clubs / gamers near the Warrington area? I know I could go to the NWGC in Stockport but it takes a long time to get there after work on a weekday so I'd rather not have to if I can avoid it...

Also, is this the best forum to be posting in or do most UK warmachine players use something else?

Cheers,
Hugh

Hi Hugh,

You want to try the WM/H UK Facebook group, thats the main location along with Twitter for most of the social interactions now days I'm afraid. Group is called "Warmachine and Hordes UK" so should be easy enough to search for it.

Thanks Liam, I'll have a look. Time to learn how Facebook groups work...

Isn't Northern Warlords in Sankey? Or has that group folded now?

Hi Gerry,

I don't know much about Guild Ball. I'm gonna give HWM a go so that's going to consume most of my appetite for learning a new system for the time being. For some reason I'm more inclined towards games with an appreciable number of miniatures on the table. Things like x-wing, malifaux etc. have never had much appeal.

Not sure whether Northern Warlords is still running, I've pm'd Pete Bradley to see if he still has anything to do with its organisation.

Cheers,
Hugh
