Tech volunteer neeeded to update the forum software

Postby LeonDeGrande » Mon Dec 12, 2016 8:42 am

Hi all.

To prevent this forum to fade away and open it again for new members the forum software needs an update.
Therefore a tech volunteer is needed to update the phpBB3 version from 4 to 14.
The data base seems to be very fragile and partly corrupted so it will be a difficult task.

I had a chat with Vincent of Vega (Head Honcho) and he will enable the volunteer to update the version.

In case you want to assist simply drop me a message.

Thanks in advance.

Regards
Olaf

I'd love to help buy this is beyond my skills. How about running a kickstarter to hire in professional help? Or Asking the ETC to budget for it? The ETC is after all a TWF event and generates a lot of cash.

We already have three volunteers, with "Bugman" being the one who will do it (with some support from the others if he needs/like to have).

Well done with getting it all back up and running, brilliant job.

Thank you to all those involved.
I must learn to add that last extra highlight to make my
models stand out more.

I don't have the skills to help with what you're asking for, but I did want to also chime in that it looks great so thanks! This is the first time I've seen the site in a little bit and I'm happy it's not faded away!
