We have received a request from a number of captains to include a number of differing options for the forthcoming vote.

This is a topic for specific ideas only. Can players please (succinctly) put their idea on how they wish both elements to be handled and as a prospective candidate in a future vote. This will be open for a period of 1 week from today, and after these are collated by ourselves into a vote-type question the matter will be put to the Captains.

I apologise if some captains feel that this is delaying matters somewhat, however we did not feel that we had any alternative in the circumstances.

This topic is for specific ideas only - can you please take discussion elsewhere, and posts outside of this remit will be deleted.

Deployment - tables on each row have preset deployment types and corresponding terrain maps. Which games are on each table is randomised after pairings. Each row of tables will have one of each deployment type and 7/8 will be Frontline Clash.

Scenario - one scenario is assigned to each round. Every team and every player on these teams play this scenario for the round. Scenarios are assigned at the start of day 1 of the tournament by the tournament organisers.

can you expand on this proposal by adding how to determine deployment as well?

Deployment - tables on each row have preset deployment types and corresponding terrain maps. Which games are on each table is randomised after pairings. (The number of deployment type can be increased to 8 or some deployment types get multiple maps, to be determined later)

Pairing
Both teams get two set of cards, one for each secondary objective and one for each of their armies.
Step 1 - “The opening” (first two matchups)
1.
Both Team Captains select one army and two objectives from their hand to put forward to play and place the
cards for this army and those objectives face down;
2.
Once both Teams have made their selection, turn over the cards to reveal which armies and objectives were chosen.

Both Team Captains now select an objective put forward by the opposing team and two army from their hand to face the opposing army revealed in the Step 1.2. The selected objective and armies put forward by each Team are kept secret and revealed at the same time;

4.
Each Team Captain selects one of the two opposing armies revealed in Step 1.3 to play against the
friendly army that they have revealed in Step 1.2 on the objective chosen in Step 1.3.

The not chosen armies cards are taken back into their owner's hand, whereas the not chosen objective cards are discarded.


Step 2
- “The Second Opening” (matchups 3 and 4)
Develops exactly as Step 1.

Step 3
- “The Showdown” (matchups 5, 6, 7 and 8)
1.
Repeat Steps 1.1 and 1.2, (observe that there are only 2 objectives left in both Captain's hand)
2.
Repeat Step 1.3:
Both Team Captains now select an objective put forward by the opposing team and two army from their hand to face the opposing army revealed in the Step 3.2. The selected objective and armies put forward by each Team are kept secret and revealed at the same time;

3.
Each Team Captain selects one of the two opposing armies revealed in Step 3.3 to play against the
friendly army that they have revealed in Step 3.2 on the objective chosen in step 1.3.
The not chosen army revealed by the opponent will face the one card left on the Team’s hand on the Team not chosen objective

Objective - Before the start of the game, both player simultaneously veto an objective. The objective is randomly selected from the set of remaining objectives.

Team Switzerland 2016: Captain
