Hi, all. After a couple of weeks of deliberating, holding our breath and trying to find a solution, we regret to inform you that we will be cancelling Trial By Fire. The prime reason for this decision is due to a lack of required minimum interest for both WHFB and WH40k.

We apologise to those players who were interested - believe us, we are just as disappointed as you are. All players have been refunded and made aware of the situation. Any further queries, concerns or questions should be directed to my associate Mr Andrew Chesney, since I myself am currently stranded in the wilds of Belgium (getting internet access to put up this post was nothing short of a miracle).

For WHFB players I'd like to point you in the direction of our GT style event in November, and for WH40k players rest assured that we will be running an event in the future that caters to your explosion-based needs.

Kind regards,

Bobo

What's the matter, Greg? Don't think we're up to the task? ;)

Yes it is, so won't be at this one as signed up there (and it takes half the time for me to get to Maelstrom :))

New to this forum having seen a link from 1st Company Vets.

Count me in for this event, it sounds excellent.

How do I go about buying a ticket on the 9th?

Hey mate. First off, welcome to the forum!

The tickets will be available in a wide variety of ways. Most people tend to pay through PayPal, but if that doesn't float your boat then send either myself or Andrew Chesney a PM and we can give you either an address for a cheque, or details for a direct bank transfer. More details regarding these options will follow on Friday.

Cheers,

Bobo

Would it be unethical of me to say no even if I know it is?

Seems like quite the popular weekend for running an event!

it does indeed - I've heard a lot of great things about the lerker events and will be looking forward to attending one soon - but, like so many others, I'm Autumn incursion bound :D

Unfortunately I'll be sitting in a pub in Glasgow at a meeting to discuss next year's Scottish Real Ale Festival, otherwise I'd be there.

Probably the best excuse for not attending a tournament I've heard in a while! Are you, uh, bringing back samples of your decisions? 8-[

It's only 2 weeks since this year's Festival, and I'm still detoxing. I managed one of the bars, so had to do daily quality checks on ~80 beers. It's a hard life.

Hi there Bobo

I had a look at the pack, firsly just would like to confirm that this will be 8th edtion for Fantasy?

Secondly from the pack I assume that no restrictions or "comp" are in play?

Cheers

Hi KG,

It is indeed 8th Edition and there is no comp in play at all.

Got quite a lot of interest from GW staff at the open day so hopefully will get some of these guys playing as well!

Cheers,

Andrew
