Version 1.4 of the Independent FAQ is now available. Updated second post with it and can be found below.

Have also included a list of all the changes made in this document at the end of the pack to make it clearer what's different to previous versions.

From what I heard, and judging for timing of thread creation last years, the topic will come up very shortly.

hello all!

new member here with a tournament question..

my only tournament experience so far is GW based, as you can imagine i am eager to try something new!

me and some friends noticed the SCGT and are now really stoked to attend! however!!!! it seems last years tickets sold out in under a minutes? what am i to do? going to be very sad if we can't go lol...

will they tell us the date and time tickets go on sale in advance?

can i pay using a debit card?

is there ANY way i can be assured of getting 4/5 tickets?

Hi Lucifer,

Your best bet is to follow @HeelanHammer on twitter. He'll be announcing when the tickets will go on sale and the pack and everything else on there etc.

Also keep checking the tournament section on a semi daily basis and the details will go up at some point. The rules pack and all the details of how to buy a ticket will be included in that thread. The date to buy the ticket will generally days or even a week after the pack goes up. So gives you plenty of time to plan how to buy a ticket.

Generally all tournaments (and SCGT historically) only accepts PayPal. So need to probably sign up there or find someone who has it that can send money for you. Generally SCGT sells out very quickly so need to be fast on PayPal to get a ticket. Although there are always a lot of drop outs so generally can get in even on the day if desperate to go.

Hope that helps.

Not really! There's all types of players from the top end to the bottom and everything in between. Pretty much don't expect to get a certain type of player there. There's nearly 200 players there and all are different and some will be similar to what you may have played before at GW tournaments.

Can you put a provisional date of 17/18 Oct for Raze and Ruin 2015 please Mo?
Though this will depend on when the rumoured Heelanhammer October event is...

I try not to put a date down on the diary until it's confirmed. Just in case.

So will wait till it's confirmed which sounds like it depends on SCGT confirming their dates.

Just extra hassle for me if the dates change and I have to note which events are provisional etc.

Have updated the Warhammer diary, now found in the 2nd post of this thread. Will be showing Age of Sigmar and 8th Edition events for now. Have colour coded the diary to show what events are AoS, which are 8th and which events are both.

Let me know if any events have been missed.

Don't know if this is right place but zombies are too cheap for what they can do. With Manfred and a corpse cart and 40 zombies they hit on 2+ rerolling 1s and wound on 3+ rerolling 1s and get d6 models back every hero phase.

Hi all,

Looking for some help in putting together the new pool document.

Version 2.0 of Clash Comp and Pool document will be released this Thursday the 28th of April.

Just putting the final touches to the Comp Pack. The basis is still the same though but there are fair few new things in the pack. The way to capture objectives though is remaining the same. So the pool document should reflect this (as in monsters and characters still can't capture etc).

If you want to help and have your input on your units and units you think need changing then please fill in the following spreadsheet with your suggested changes. All input is highly appreciated and taken into consideration. Even if not in this update is kept on record for future updates.

Spreadsheet to mark changes: Pool Document Draft v1.99

Please note that unit costs should be only whole numbers or half numbers. So 0.5, 1.0, 1.5 etc. One of the main draws of Clash Comp and pools is the simplicity plus with the heavy synergy basis of AoS, I think getting accurate score is extremly difficult when going into smaller divisions. Speaking to many people from across the UK community and in different communities such as Germany, France, USA, South Africa, Singapore I think this is the best decision for Clash Comp going forward.

Any questions then as always let me know. And thanks as always for all the help in making the pack. Couldn't be done without all the input from the community who have helped create and shape it from the start.
