Re: Chairmen's meetings summaries.

The budget plan I saw had the team entry at x, bus entry at x+a, dinner as x+b for example.

Pick and choose system depending on what your team wants/needs.

Congrats to the Aussies that made the team and it’ll be good to catch up again.

Sorry to say this, but the ashes is looking more and more pointless each year

Maybe time to retire it?

Re: Etc 2018 lists deadline

We are working on the basis of four weeks prior to the event, which would be Thursday 5th July. Chris @Chris Legg, Would that also represent a freeze on any rule/point changes that may happen after July 5th? Yes, in common with all previous ETC's that I can remember. Although as Mikey says we are n...

[Captains] [T9A] Vote for scenarios and deployment - Results

In accordance with Captains wishes we now present the opportunity to vote for their preferred method of how to choose the Scenario and Deployment type at this years event. The votes will be on the basis of a Condorcet based system, where each area is ranked in order of preference (1-5 for Scenario, ...

Request for scenario / deployment vote options

We have received a request from a number of captains to include a number of differing options for the forthcoming vote. This is a topic for specific ideas only. Can players please (succinctly) put their idea on how they wish both elements to be handled and as a prospective candidate in a future vote...

So the vote has now closed and we will be playing v2.x at the 2018 ETC.

Results were 24-0 in favour of option B (out of a potential 33 votes).

Yes thats right - apologies. It would be v2.x and if there is a disagreement on cut off changes then it would go to a vote as well.

[Captains] [T9A] Vote for Version used at 2018 ETC

Players will be aware that Ninth Age is currently in a state of change, with the main system moving from v1.x (currently 1.3) to v2.x. At present, v1.3 remains the 'official' T9A ruleset and will remain so until the beta phase of v2.0 is concluded, which we understand will occur at some point in May...

I am making the assumption that ETC will use whichever version of rules and army books are current for the event in August. My question around that... is there a freeze at any time on changes/revision done closer to the event? For instance, if an army book gets a revision on July 27th, is that too ...

The post was nothing more than a fact finding exercise - it was not intended to be anything more than that. Most people on the ETC forums are aware of your desire for change but this is an entirely separate topic. At last years ETC the T9A tables had a mixture of white paper terrain sellotaped to it...

Ninth Age terrain preferences

Hi guys, We are in the very early stages of budgetary planning for the Ninth Age event in 2018 and wanted to get a handle on the terrain that you would like to see at the event. I think we will all agree that WFB/Ninth has traditionally seen the weaker end of the provided terrain and boards - not th...

Re: Pairings and new objectives.

I can't imagine many people would vote for 1.3 over 2.0 given the effort that's gone into it. We are due to hold our first Chairmen's meeting tomorrow and resolving Ninth Age (and its potential lack of top down leadership) will be high up on the list of things that we need to sort out. From there we...

With the proviso that the players should get what they paid for, I do not have any issues with orgas making profit from the event - on the contrary I actually think a reasonable profit should be encouraged as it could encourage a greater selection of venues and options.

The food in Salamanca was the best food I have ever experienced at an ETC - I would go as far to say that the lunch meals were better than the evening paid for meals. Re: ETC 2017 Rules and Penalties (everyone please read!!)

These all seem very reasonable and fair.

Would it be possible to have some firm and specific rules on spectators around the tables? Some countries are renowned for crowding the tables during games and it would be helpful to know in advance what is and isn't acceptable in this regard.
