Re: A Halfing army blog

so my first go at scenic bases - (A friend of mine designed I only painted them!) Im really please with how this is turning out the archer horde looks much better (IMO) like this rather than in straight rank and file. KoW really is a hobbyist's dream - any models any range and design a fancy base if...

Re: Dear god the AOS Bad Moon Mega-Armour Orks.

The new models are less armoured than the old black orc kit! And look nearly identical to the old kit: http://imgur.com/gdZ1q44.jpg give me the old black orc paint job any day of the week - the yellow is terrible. In terms of the release, I take a slightly different perspective - am a 30 year VET w...

Re: SUCCESSOR TO WARHAMMER FANTASY

I was another doubting thomas - playing wfb since 2nd ed - I was disillusioned with 8th ed and I gave AOS every possible chance but it just didn't do it for me. Kings of War? I had read the rules but I thought it looked a little bland and as recently as January I had no real interest. Until I (reluc...

Cheers guys - started the project about 4 weeks ago and have a few more models than i've posted so far painted. These are excellent! You will have to give us a breakdown on where you are getting all of the halflings from! A Halfing army blog

so my first big project since the death of warhammer - I've always really wanted to do a halfling army. 2 things put me off - the lack of halfling minis and a dedicated halfling ruleset for fantasy battle. Kings of War has addressed this with League of Rhordia army. Finally I can field a full halfli...

Re: Fake interest?

The only thing i miss about WFB is the background. Playing KoW and Dragon Rampant now for my fantasy battle fix- Both enjoyable games, easy a quick to play - rules reasonably well written so I suppose less rule query questions required? From a hobby perspective KoW is really great, any models from a...

I glad to hear this, but is it a little too late? I've weaned myself off warhammer now apart from the odd model i want to paint but this time around I will be judging it purely on the quality of the game - Im playing and loving Armada and Frostgrave - 2 wonderful games - BFG and Mordheim will have t...

Re: On Age of Sigmar and selling armies

my biggest regret is selling off a few painted armies 10 years ago or so. I keep them all now, even if some haven't seen the light of day since the last millenium! Once the kids move out I'll turn a bedroom into a mini museum/shrine. Unpainted stuff I still sell if i know I won't ever get round to p...

according to one of those 'itks' on warseer just now: There will be free downloads covering all existing armies as soon as AOS is out. They are a 'get-you-by' thing, until the new BRB comes out in early August - and that one will feature the previously existing armies, just dont expect updates too s...

They look really great. Pity the picture is so blurry though.

Not mad on the gold paint and will probably paint the, more rough and ready. Might switch out the heads with some bret Knights of the realm bits
